Companion Clubhouse is a home away from home. We care for small animals such as rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters and more. We strive to care and treat them with the love we give our own. Their welfare is the uttermost important thing to us.
My name is Tanya. I founded Companion Clubhouse mid summer of 2023 in my home in Newport, South Wales.
For those of you that do not know me personally: I am obsessed with animals. I had many family pets growing up as a child - and even now as an adult. I’ve had many dogs, rabbits, guinea pigs, ducks, hamsters, gerbils and the list goes on. I’ve also lived with cats and helped care for horses and ponies.
I am also a co-founder of ‘Bristol Rabbit Rescue & Friends’, a small pet rescue that started in August 2018. We work alongside vets and other animal charities to ensure we keep up to date with animal welfare.
For a few years, I worked for a pet service company in Bristol. I did pet visits, dog walks and small pet boarding. Now that I’ve moved cities and crossed the bridge, I want to make my own venture working with animals.
In my time, I have done Pet First Aid Training and have also been awarded a diploma in exotic animal care. I am fully insured and dbs checked.
Liam is a very knowledgeable bunny/piggie dad, who dedicates a lot of his spare time helping Tanya with the animals. He has a full-time job as an engineer, but during his free time at home he’ll help clean pens, empty litter trays, administer medication and happily hang out with the rabbits etc. He also assists with bonds and grooming.
Some of you would have met him at the door. Even though everything he does is completely voluntary, he’s always happy to welcome your companions and settle them in to their spaces.
Liam is dbs checked.
Two rescue bunnies that pretty much run the house. They live indoors and are very loved - even though they’re very bossy buns who have a lot of sass.
Both girls were born in 2023. They are incredibly intelligent and also gentle natured. They have been raised around rabbits, guinea pigs and even human newborns!
(Now sadly passed away) Four guinea pigs that live in a group. They are indoor pigs that live in our living room. Tilly is the face of an our logo, Tanya rescued her from a neglectful home in 2018, and sadly passed away start of 2024.
Sheba and Peaches sadly passed away months apart in 2022 at 11yrs old. They were EC positive buns who I gained so much knowledge and experience from throughout their lives. They taught me so much! So although they’ve passed away, they deserve a mention on our website because if it wasn’t for them, we likely would’ve be here today. Peaches is the face of our logo.
